An Alternative Point Of View
Report from the fringe

Welcome to the 'Hamilton ranting and raving about the state of the world' web page. I am an anarchist and anti-bullshit crusader. Unfortunately, bullshit is in the eye of the beholder, like beauty and value. One man's logic is another man's lies.

But the reality is here at the beginning of the 21st century, that our system of economics, commerce, and politics survives by UN-sustainable, over consumption of everything from the Earth's finite resources to it's cultural diversity. We breath in crappy air and poison ourselves and our environment all in the name of the sacred capitalist system.

We spend huge amounts of energy and resources battling against anyone who tries to point out our collective insanity or advocate for a shift toward a system which could tread lighter on these fragile ecosystems. Huge efforts are expended by the mass media to keep the masses sleep-walking toward guzzling the planet to the point which threatens our very existence.

Powerful, influential monied interests exert great effort and spend vast sums of money making sure things stay just as they are instead of moving ahead toward better management of our finite resources. A few dozen 'top' power brokers in our midst, use that very power and wealth to ensure we stay on the destructive capitalist track, proceeding to what is increasingly looking like it may bring extinction to the human race, and at the very least, has already rendered some of the earths biosphere extinct and messed up a whole lot of the rest of it which is suffering and getting sicker every year.

This is a fascinating thing to ponder in our times. Perhaps the most important question facing the human race and yet, we spend our energies avoiding, obfuscating and hiding from the very thought of it, instead of at least starting to fish for ideas as to how we could save ourselves. How we could do this to ourselves and our planet boggles my mind. But it's exactly what we are doing.
